For Companies

All companies licensed to write automobile liability insurance by the Texas Department of Insurance are required to be members of TAIPA.

Members of TAIPA are required to pay annual membership fees (plus an additional assessment based on the volume of their voluntary writings). For questions regarding assessments, please contact Mimi Leece at

Members of TAIPA may also develop a quarterly quota based on their voluntary writings, which makes them eligible to receive TAIPA applications. Companies may choose to either issue the TAIPA policies themselves, or may hire a servicing carrier. For questions regarding quotas and assignments, please contact Mimi Leece at
